Sega and Gearbox Software released a new trailer for the upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines, and we get to hear a voiceover speech from one of the squad leaders who will be in charge rescuing a group of stranded humans on Hadley's Hope. His speech also includes pumping up the soldiers to win the title as the baddest motherf*ckers in the galaxy.

To be honest, listening to that speech while watching the trailer really can get you pumped. The distinct visuals of the horrifying alien menace contrasted with the space-age weaponry and take-no-prisoners marines really does make you feel like this could be the game that gets the Aliens franchise right since James Cameron last touched the franchise. Check it out below.

Aliens: Colonial Marines has a lot riding on it, not only as a game but as a certified extension to the canon of the Aliens mythos. I have no idea if Gearbox will be able to pull it off but I'm really hoping they do. Maybe, just maybe, if the game does well we can finally see a proper Aliens Vs Predator done right and done with the right amount of attention that the franchise deserves? Because honestly, as it stands, I don't think we'll ever get a decent movie out of Fox, ever.

Aliens: Colonial Marines, the guns-to-wall action FPS is set for release this February for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The Wii U rendition of the game will receive a release date soon. Here's hoping that the game helps put Sega back on the map as a primetime player in the AAA space. For more information feel free to pay a visit to the game's Official Website.
