If you buy the PS3 version of Assassin's Creed Revelations, you're going to get another game for free. Thanks to a partnership with Sony, Ubisoft is going to include the original Assassin's Creed with day one copies of Revelations.

It's a clever way for Sony to make the PS3 version of Revelations more attractive. Furthermore, by only including the free game with launch copies of Revelations, they're encouraging gamers to buy the game new instead of pre-owned. Sony has made similar moves in the past. For example, the PS3 Limited Edition of Medal of Honor came with an HD version of Medal of Honor: Front Line. The PS3 Dead Space 2 included a Move-compatible edition of Wii game Dead Space: Extraction.

In Revelations, Renaissance Era assassin Ezio Auditore travels to Constantinople. While there, he learns that his predecessor Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad has sealed away an ancient artifact that could end the war against the Templars. Ezio must scour Constantinople in order to find the keys. Throughout the game, Ezio will also get to relive Altair's experiences.

Given Altair's importance in Revelations' plot, it makes sense that the original Creed is included with that game. Altair is actually the protagonist of the first game. Disgraced at the start of Creed, he must regain his standing in the Assassins' Brotherhood by eliminating key Templars throughout the Middle East. While performing these tasks, he stumbles upon the wider conspiracy explored in subsequent games.

Revelations will be available on November 15th.
