Aftermath, the fourth expansion pack for Battlefield 3, is now live on PS3. Battlefield 3 Premium members can download and start playing it for no additional charge.

The expansion's four new maps are set in post-earthquake Tehran. Players will fight their way through the ruined buildings and streets of the Iranian city. They'll have access to new vehicles as well as a new crossbow weapon.

All the maps in the expansion support the new Scavenger mode. In Scavenger mode, players don't spawn with a full set of equipment. Instead, they're limited to a knife, one grenade, and sidearm. They'll have to find more powerful weapons by searching the map.

The expansion pack is arriving a week early on the PS3 due to an exclusivity agreement between Sony and EA. PC and Xbox 360 Premium members will be able to download it on December 4th. Premium membership provides two weeks of early access to the expansion. The new content will be available on the PS3 to non-Premium players on December 11th, and to their Xbox 360 and PC counterparts on December 18th.

DICE released a launch trailer to celebrate the DLC's release. It provides a look at all the maps and the new equipment at players' disposal.
