The co-op, treasure-hunting, hack-and-slash, action-adventure game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is currently available. Konami sent out word that the game has finally arrived at a retailer near you.
Players assume the role of treasure hunter, Ayumi, who is a beautiful but deadly femme fatale who dual-wields katanas but isn't afraid of using rifles, pistols and a heavy assortment of various other butt-kicking weapons. She also bears a very similar resemblance to Gaijin Entertainment's other hack-and-slash action game, X-Blades, starring a scantily clad femme fatale who was also named Ayumi. I could pretty much recognize those cheeks from a mile off.
Anyways, Blades of Time at least looks to be a better game than X-Blades and it certainly has a less nescience name. Whether or not the gameplay turns out to be better is a whole other story. But players will be able to enjoy 40 plus unlockable skills that are actually unlockable by playing the game and not paying for them, the ability to rewind time just like Blinx the cat and solve puzzles and defeat enemies using a record function, as well as the focus group tested co-op mode which is bound to add some extra replay value to the game.
The game is rated 'M' for Mature and lands on retailer shelves for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 for the budget retail price of $39.99...that's right, $39.99. You can learn more about Blades of Time by paying a visit to the Official Website.
