It's been nine months since Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's release and players are still finding ways to have fun with it. This week Nerdist producer Bryan Basham released a parody video called COPS: Skyrim.

The video is similar in format to the long-running Fox reality show COPS. Local guards patrol the countryside of Skyrim and try to keep the peace. The task includes corraling drunks, arresting prostitutes and keeping giants from violating environmental laws. All in a day's work.

The show COPS has been running since 1989, so it's five years older than the very first Elder Scrolls game. It's been endlessly parodied at this point so that takes some bite out of the video. Nonetheless, it should provide some momentary entertainment to fans of the game.

It's not surprising that Skyrim still has an active fan base. Bethesda recently released the first expansion pack for the game, Dawnguard. They've got at least one more expansion up their sleeves as well, with rumored titles being Hearthfire and Dragonborn.
