Trendy Entertainment announced that Dungeon Defenders is currently available for Mac, and with that the game's second part to the Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards has also become available for PC and Mac. What's more is that they also announced that the game will have a free weekend on Steam so you can try before you buy, and also that the Eternia Shards DLC will be heading to the Xbox 360 and PS3 soon. Whoa, that was a mouth full.

To celebrate the release of the second part of the DLC, Trendy has also decided to knock off the price of entry for the game and the DLC by 50% alongside making the game free to play over the weekend. If that's not a bargain deal I just don't know what is.

For those that don't know, Dungeon Defenders is a cooperative RPG, tower-defense, real-time action strategy game. It blends genres seamlessly, opening up a wealth of both replayability and fun for fans of the role-playing genre, as well as gamers who enjoy to hack and slash, and even those who like to plan and strategize. Overall, it is a really great game that breaks down the barriers of innovation.

You can pick up a digital copy of the game right now for multiple platforms and devices as well as the new Eternia Shards DLC. The second part of the DLC will be made available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 shortly. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website.
