A new walkthrough video was released for the upcoming Bellator MMA Onslaught, giving gamers a full rundown of some of the character creation mechanics for the upcoming title due out this summer for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
Given that the game is only $14.95 you can't go in expecting a create-a-character feature like Aion, WWE 12 or Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. Instead, it's a rather basic set of basic, predictable create-a-fighter features that let you pelt out a nominally generic cage-fighting pugilist using the available parts. Again, this is a budget-priced title so it offers you what you would expect for something under $20 bucks.
It's hard to tell if this will be worth the price of admission even being a budget-priced title. It definitely depends on what you're looking for out of a fighting game fix. Unfortunately, despite Capcom saying the genre is cannibalizing itself, there aren't a whole lot of fighting games on the market.
If this game turns out to be quite decent then maybe, just maybe there is the possibility that we could see the fighting game demographic grow via a niche sector in the digital market...just maybe.
Bellator MMA Onslaught is set for release this summer for the Xbox 360 and PS3 via their respective digital distribution platforms.
