Gameloft, a developer and publisher of digital and online video games announced today that they have signed a multi-year deal with Epic Games to use the Unreal Engine 3 in four new games coming out in 2011 and 2012.
Julien Fournials, vice president of production at Gameloft commented in the press release, saying…
"Gameloft is very pleased to partner with Epic, especially with their ability to stay ahead of the curve and continually place the best game engine technology in developers' hands at any given point in time," … "Using Unreal Engine 3 allows us to push game visuals with remarkable lighting and high-fidelity environments. We are confident that players will enjoy the games powered by Unreal Engine 3."There was no mention on what the games actually are or what sort of genres they fit into but they’re definitely small enough for mobile devices and more than likely aimed at a casual audience.
