Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is set for release next week and just ahead of launch the company sent out the official launch trailer to get gamers all geeked up with goose-bumps, as the trailer lays out the mission nice and clear as well as some of the high-tech gear that will be at the player's disposal.

The Ghost Recon series has been dormant for far too long, so it's neat that Ubisoft is bringing the series back and making it bigger, badder, faster and more hardcore than before. With an extensive Gunsmith weapon customization and a number of high-end class-specific skills, gamers will be able to take down foes unfairly but with righteous excellence.

In addition to a high-octane single-player mode, Future Soldier also contains a robust multiplayer feature, just like in previous Ghost Recon games. Many gamers had an opportunity to get a taste of the multiplayer in early April thanks to the multiplayer beta sessions Ubisoft held. Of course, the game's pace was nothing like Call of Duty and it will be interesting to see how a mainstream audience adapts to the team-based gameplay which Ghost Recon focuses on, as opposed to the lone-wolf mechanics that made Call of Duty famous.

You can look for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to land on retail shelves starting May 22nd for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version is scheduled to release on June 12th. For more info feel free to pay a visit to the game's Official Website.
