Terminal Reality and High Voltage announced today that they have collaborated in the way that High Voltage will be using Terminal Reality’s Infernal Engine for an upcoming project. Of course, no word on what the project(s) will be or what platforms it will end up on were announced, but I’m sure it will be cool.
Joe Kreiner, VP Sales and Marketing at Terminal Reality commented in the press release, saying…
"With more than 75 titles shipped, High Voltage Software has a proven track record of developing quality products on all of the current platforms. Through the use of the Infernal Engine technologies, they are now able to extend that remarkable track record into the next-generation platforms."
While High Voltage is known for using the Quantum 3 Engine, they have decided to upgrade to the Infernal Engine for what may be a rather high-end multiplatform title. It wouldn’t be surprising if High Voltage bolted on the Wii exclusivity of The Conduit 2 and instead ported it for the PS3 and 360 as well. However, nothing has been confirmed on the new project and the above is pure speculation.
“We already have the most advanced Wii technology available. By incorporating some of the best PS3/360 technology, we are able to really push the envelope with our next wave of titles.” Said Kerry J. Ganofsky, founder of High Voltage Software in the press release.
