Game installation, normally just a minor hassle for PS3 gamers, has become a huge problem for some folks trying to play Prototype. Due to a bug with the installation process, they're unable to start the game at all.

Apparently the game is incorrectly telling people that they have insufficient hard drive space to install the game. To fix the problem, Activision recommends changing the available space on your PS3's hard drive by 700 MB. You can do so by either downloading new content or deleting stuff already on your PS3.

According to Activision, "a small number of PS3 Prototype owners" but nonetheless, they're taking it seriously. They plan to release a patch through PSN soon.
