We know that 38 Studios’ upcoming action-RPG takes place in a very distinctive fantasy world, but for the first time gamers get to see how it all plays a part in the game’s rising tide of dark forces and broken alliances. The new trailer not only shows off quite a bit of combat but many of the important faces in the game's story as well.

If you’re still into the medieval fantasy RPG setting and Dragon Age, Demon's Souls Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Risen, Knights Contract, D&D: Daggerdale, Divinity, Sacred, The Witcher or the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim isn’t enough for you, then maybe Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will quench your thirst and whet your appetite. The new hero walkthrough trailer briefly goes over the player’s role in the game and a few of the key factions that help shape the over all story.

The trailer is pretty slick. The voiceover work is snazzy and the visual cinematography appears to work well for getting gamers well acquainted with the art-style and aesthetics of the game world. I’m not really sure if the game is diversified enough in its overall presentation to stand out amongst all the other games in the genre as well but who knows, maybe gamers will dig it?

As shown in the video, it at least looks like it falls in line with being very similar to Elder Scrolls and the freedom to join or work with a number of different people throughout the journey so depending on how well that feature is implemented will probably determine the game’s replay values.

You can look for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning to hit store shelves on February 7th for the Xbox 360 and PS3. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website.
