As soon as Mass Effect 2 was announced for the PS3, you knew what was going to happen. Yes, its graphics have been compared to the Xbox 360 version.

Digital Foundry measured the two versions of the action RPG against each other. They found that, despite the fact that the PS3 ME2 uses an upgraded engine, it's not an across-the-board upgrade over its 360 counterpart. While it does feature higher resolution visuals and tighter shadows, it's lacking in effects like anti-aliasing and normal-mapping. Also, while the PS3 version irons out some of the FPS issues that occured with the busier scenes, there is more screen tearing at these times.

Meh. If you're an RPG fan who only owns a PS3, you're going to be pleased with the game regardless. It hits the PS3 in North America on January 18th and on the 21st in Europe.
