A new story trailer for Max Payne 3 offers a bit more detail on the characters and dangers of Brazil, from local gangs and hot-headed hotshots, to the mafia and hired killers, Max will have a tough time for his stay in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

While a lot of people have been wondering about the quality of Max Payne 3 given that Remedy Entertainment is no longer behind the development helm and Max is no longer in New York, one thing is for certain: Rockstar is not holding back on the grit or dangers of Max's journey to Brazil. The action looks thick and the drama seems heavy, for as far as this latest story trailer is concerned.

That trailer is actually really awesome. It has elements of José Padilha's Elite Squad and Tony Scott's Man on Fire, but unlike the original story trailer this latest one seems to veer closer to Padilha's film. I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited for Max Payne 3. It at least looks like Rockstar understands how to continue this broken anti-hero's story with some weight and grit.
