With DICE co-developing the upcoming Medal of Honor reboot, it seemed possible that the game would use their proprietary Frostbite Engine. You'd only be half-right to assume so.

"Guess it is out today: EALA uses a heavily-modified Unreal Engine 3 for Medal of Honor SP and we, DICE, use Frostbite for the MP portion," tweeted a DICE rendering architect earlier today (via Planet Medal of Honor).

While having two studios work on the same game is common, it's quite rare to see two portions of a game use different game engines. It's not necessarily "bad" but it's just unusual. It'll be interesting to see how different the single-player and multiplayer for the game "feel."
