Subscribe To Metro 2033 Announced For Xbox 360 And PC, Trailer And Screenshots Released Updates
Today THQ revealed they are publishing a new first-person shooter for the Xbox 360 and PC. Metro 2033 is being developed at 4A Studios and will arrive next year.

Metro 2033 takes place twenty years after an apocalyptic event has rendered the Earth's surface uninhabitable. In Moscow, the small number of human survivors now live in the city's cavernous Metro tunnels. Players control Artyom, a youth who has spent most of his life underground who embarks on a journey to save the few remaining humans from a new threat. The plot's based off a novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky with the same name.

Ghostly spirits and mutants live in the depths of the tunnels, ready to pounce on unsuspecting humans (i.e. you). The trailer offers a brief glimpse of the ruined city above, which you'll eventually venture into. It sounds a lot like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the horror FPS set in the ruined landscape of Chernobyl Power Plant. I suspect this game will manage to creep me out with the same frequency.
