In a post-apocalyptic world where creatures roam the night (and sometimes the day) and all sorts of mutant monstrosities are trying to rip flesh from bone, one of the more normal aspects of such a world is a crazy preacher teaching crazy teachings to anyone who will listen, that's the job of The Preacher in 4A Games' upcoming horror-shooter, Metro: Last Light.

Given that most of the internet seems to hate organized religion of any kind, I imagine The Preacher in Metro: Last Light will lead a group of crazies against the player at some point. It just seems to be the natural way of things in post-apocalyptic societies. You can try to figure out The Preacher's motives in the live-action trailer below, courtesy of IGN.

The original game was an atmospheric masterpiece. While the play-structure was pretty linear there were some fairly harrowing moments to keep the tension high and the frights frequent. Given THQ's financial situation a lot of people are questioning if the company will be able to stay alive long enough to even get Last Light out to retailers or if Last Light will be...THQ's last light. Get it, get it? Right.

Anyway, Metro: Last Light is set for release in 2013 for home consoles and PC. You can learn more about the game by paying a visit to the Official Website.
