While details on the upcoming multi-genre action game are slim, what we do know is that this game puts players in the role of a cop on the verge of vigilantism, set in a world that mirrors the likes of Sin City and has all the noire-panache of the Gathering’s Max Payne.

The game’s comic-book style presentation, darkened aesthetic and grimy story imbues the game with a sense of originality. I can’t say that it’s all that different looking from Namco’s gritty third-person action game, Dead To Rights: Retribution, but it does seem to have some highlights that set it apart.

Necessary Force offers gamers some good ‘ole beat-e’m-up segments, complete with the over-abundance of blood splatter, some torturing segments that appear to mirror the likes of The Punisher, and some driving and chasing sequences to keep players on the edge of their seats. And based on the kick-butt debut trailer, I can definitely say I’m stoked for this game.

As soon as some more details are released we’ll be sure to inform you all about it. In the meantime you can visit the Official Necessary Force Website for nothing more than the trailer that you can view below. For those of you who can’t wait to download the trailer you can check out some screen-captures of the game as well.
