The Nintendo Wii's First Wave Of Third Party Games Is Announced

Not only did Nintendo announce the retail price and the release date of the Wii today, they’re also announcing the first batch of third party Wii games. They'll be released from Nov. 19th (the release date for the Wii), through to the early spring months of 2007.

It’s nice to see that Nintendo’s getting third party support, since GameCube at times really didn’t have much of that. I’m especially happy to see Call of Duty 3, Far Cry: Vengeance, Elebits, Metal Slug Anthology, Red Steel, Trauma Center, and Blazing Angels up there. Oh, and as usual, after a company says they “won’t make more games in a franchise”, you know they’re blowing smoke out their ass. Thus a new Prince of Persia game is upcoming. It also reminds us all that Nintendo is a family friendly video game company, as well, with the plethora of kid-oriented games. Here’s a full list of what’s coming out in the first few months of the Wii’s release:
