PS Vita, PSP History Detailed In New Evolution Of PlayStation Video

Gather round, children, for yet another thrilling episode of Story Time With Granpappy PlayStation. The “Evolution of PlayStation” video series continues and, now that all of the consoles have been taken care of, Sony's pair of portable consoles are getting their brief moment in the spotlight.
I imagine that, at this point, some of you may be tired of all of this PlayStation jibba-jabba that's been going on since last Friday. But with the PlayStation 4 likely to be announced in just a little over 24 hours, chances are pretty good that the hype train is going to keep on rolling for at least a few more days now.
Sony informed the world in late January that it would be making a major announcement on Feb. 20 and, since then, loads of rumors and speculation have led everyone to believe that the “major announcement” would actually be a reveal for the PlayStation 4.
The latest and most convincing bit of proof comes in this latest series of videos Sony has been putting out highlighting the history of the PlayStation brand. We got to take a look at short clips focusing on the original PlayStation, the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation 3 through the weekend. Last night, Sony released this latest video combining both the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation Vita into a single clip.
While these videos didn't exactly follow my original prediction (I expected a PSP clip between PS2 and PS3 and a Vita clip to run this afternoon), it looks like Sony is finally ready to talk about the future of the PlayStation brand. Thankfully, we don't have much longer to wait until the curtain is finally pulled all of the way back. Sony's presentation goes live tomorrow evening, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m. EST.
