It looks like Dark Souls II has already picked up some angry fans. A group of gamers have come together to petition for a Wii U version of Namco Bandai's Dark Souls II, the action-RPG that was recently announced during this year's VGAs hosted by Spike TV.

The petition came about immediately after the announcement given that Namco Bandai has confirmed the game to launch for the Xbox 360, the PS3 and PC. However, as noted by Gamepur, the petition seeks to get the Wii U added to the list.

A Christopher Marcil is the man behind the initial signature and he wants others to join in, making a list of features that Dark Souls II could benefit from while utilizing the Wii U, such as using the touchscreen to rummage through the inventory instead of using the TV screen.

While it's a nice gesture, let's not forget the horrors of the PC port that took place with the original Dark Souls. Heck, if it wasn't for modders Dark Souls on PC would still be broke. I have very little faith that Dark Souls II will be any better on PC, and adding the Wii U to the list seems a little like overkill for FromSoftware.

Still, if you think signing the petition might help with the Wii U getting a copy, feel free to head on over to the website and fill out the necessary details.
