For PlayStation Plus subscribers looking to adventure to a magical realm with a big-eared hero or save some money on Lego games and more, this week's update is just for you. Get ready for Castle of Illusion and a bunch of new discounts once the weekly PlayStation Network update goes live this afternoon.

Yes, folks, it turns out that this week's Plus update is full of nostalgia and games geared at those who are still young at heart with Castle of Illusions Starring Mickey Mouse being made available at no additional charge to your Plus subscription for the PS3 and discounts on nine Lego games, as well as a whole bunch of expansion packs for Pure Chess.

We begin with Castle of Illusion, last year's HD remake of the 1990 classic featuring M-I-C-K-E-Y on a quest to save Minnie Mouse from the evil witch, Mizrabel.

“If you recognize the name Castle of Illusion from back in the day, you should know that this remake doesn't just offer upgraded graphics, but also periodic restructuring of the classic 2D side-scrolling platforming gameplay into a 3D space,” reads the announcement from Sony Sr. Community Specialist, Kristine Steimer. “As an added bonus, if you download this during the first two weeks it's available in PS Plus, you'll receive the Castle of Illusion Sega Genesis Bundle, which adds the original Sega Genesis version and a Mizrabel dynamic them for free.”

In order to grab that bundle and not just the updated version of the game, you'll need to download Castle of Illusion before April 28.

Otherwise, this week's Plus update is all about sales, starting with the Vita touch-based action game, Draw Slasher for a buck fiddy. The PS3 and Vita versions of Ethan: Meteor Hunter have been marked down to $7.99 from $9.99 this week, while the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shell Character Avatar Pack has been dropped to exactly zero dollars, meaning you can deck out your profile with some sweet half-shelled heroes free of charge.

A whole slew of Pure Chess DLC has also been discounted this week, with a couple of the highlights being the Halloween set for $0.89, the game's complete bundle for $11.99 and the Battalion Chess Set for $0.89.

Finally, we've got a lot of Lego discounts to get through. The PS3 and Vita version of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes have been marked down to $12.59 a pop, as has Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey, Harry Potter: Years 5-7 and Lord of the Rings. And then there's the most recent Lego game, Marvel Super Heroes. You can get the PS4 version of that one discounted down to $31.49, the PS3 version for $25.99 and the Vita version for $18.89.
