Solatorobo: Red The Hunter Goes Gold For Nintendo DS

XSeed Games has confirmed that the art-driven RPG, Solatorobo: Red The Hunter has officially gone gold for Nintendo DS, meaning that the development of the game is finished and it’ll be shipping to a retailer near you starting September 27th.

As stated in the press release…

Literally translated “Sky and Robot,” Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is set high in the clouds of the Shepherd Republic, where two races of anthropomorphic dog- and cat-like people live their everyday lives with the aid of robot mechs, or Robos. The game follows the adventures of dog-like Red Savarin, a buccaneer for hire out looking to make a quick buck. While on a mission to retrieve some files for a client, Red unwittingly sets in place a series of events that will lead him to fight for the survival of the entire planet and discover his true inner potential.

The game features beautifully designed scenarios and is considered the spiritual successor for the sleeper-hit on the PlayStation, Tail Concerto. The game will also contain a memorable soundtrack composed by .hack composer, Chikayo Fukuda. The game is also designed by a group of developers who I believe is just on a roll when it comes to pumping out memorable and high-quality games, CyberConnect2 (the developers behind the upcoming DragonBall Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi).

For a limited time you’ll be able to pick up a copy of Solatorobo: Red The Hunter with an additional bonus soundtrack for $34.99. The game will be available exclusively for the Nintendo DS on September 27th. You can learn more about the game by visiting the Official Website.
