Telltale Games' season finale for Tales From The Borderlands is right around the corner. In fact the season finale wraps up on October 30th for home consoles and PC and Telltale let loose a teaser trailer to give gamers something to latch onto before the final episode goes live.

Polygon spotted the trailer and you can check it out below.

The teaser trailer really is a teaser because it not only gives away nothing about the upcoming episode it doesn't really acknowledge anything that happened in the previous episode either.

It's a little difficult to summarize everything in a quick and effective method, but basically a former employee for Hyperion is working with a rag-tag group to uncover a hidden vault. The story is full of backstabs, double-crossings, memorable characters being killed and lots of attempts at humor.

Some of the events that transpire in Tales From The Borderlands definitely leaves me wondering what's going to happen in Borderlands 3 regarding some of the characters... especially Scooter.

Anyway, Telltale didn't just have a teaser trailer up and available for the fifth episode in their lauded point-and-click adventure game based on Gearbox Software's first-person shooter series. They also announced that they are handing out a free episode from the season – the first episode to be exact. Whether you game on the mobile devices like an Android or iPhone, or if you have a home console like the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 or PS4, you can get the first episode for free.

The deal, sadly, does not appear to be available for PC... well at least not on Steam. But that's because Steam gamers get an even better deal if owning the entire season was a more appealing option.

Telltale currently has a deal on all their games right now over on Steam, and the Tales Of The Borderlands series is available at the discounted price on PC for $8.49. Yes, it's 66% off right now for the weekend only.

It's not a bad deal to get all four previously released episodes in the Tales From The Borderlands series for less than $10.

The upcoming and final episode of the season will actually have a staggered release. The game will first appear on the Mac, PC, PS3 and PS4 starting October 20th. Following that the game will release on October 21st for the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, and finally the game will be made available on mobile devices starting October 22nd.

I'm assuming if the game does well enough we might see a second season for Tales Of The Borderlands, but it's tough to say right now. I'm sure a lot of gamers are probably slightly more interested in what Gearbox Software has planned for Borderlands 3.
