In case you've been waiting for just the right bundle to pop up before taking the plunge and buying a PlayStation 4, the folks at Sony have prepared a new offering that might finally push you off of the fence: An Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle, due out on Oct. 9.

Announced this weekend on the PlayStation Blog, this latest PS4 bundle should serve as a nice incentive to upgrade to the current generation of gaming, especially if you missed out on the PlayStation 3's phenomenal Uncharted series.

Most console bundles come with a single game. While that technically holds true for the Nathan Drake Collection setup (since it's all on a single disc), you're actually getting your hands on all three of the original Uncharted games, including Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake's Deception. Since we now know that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End comes out on March 18, that gives you plenty of time to plow through a trio of last-gen classics before heading into a brand new adventure next year.

Each game in the collection has been upgraded, too, featuring better graphics and sound, as well as fun tweaks like speed-running functionality, leaderboard, easier and harder difficulties and the ability to play as a boatload of characters. Here's the trailer, in case you haven't drooled over it yet.

Along with the game, this bundle includes a 500GB PlayStation 4 console, as well as a controller so you can, you know, actually play the games. There won't be a special paint job on the system but, given recent spelling errors with the Metal Gear Solid PS4, that's probably for the best. All told, you can expect to pay $399.99 here in the States for this bundle, or $449.99 if you live in Canada.

It's hard not to get excited thinking about all of the new fans coming to Uncharted once Oct., 9 rolls around, as they have no idea what kind of over-the-top action they're in for. This is one of those rare series I wish I could forget I played, all so I could experience it for the first time all over again. All three of the PS3's Uncharted games are packed with memorable, explosive moments, and the Nathan Drake Collection crams every single one of them into a single package. The online portion of Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 will sadly be missing, but you're still looking at one heck of a deal for a console bundle.

After that, it's just a short wait until we can finally get our hands on Uncharted 4.
