THQ and Yukes have been hard at work on a brand new WWE video game experience and the fruits of their labors will come to bear this fall when the brand new WWE 12 launches for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii. First images and gameplay of the new title will be on display for the very first time at this year’s E3.

Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, Core Games, THQ commented in the press release, saying…
"With vital changes to core gameplay, innovative feature support and an incredibly striking presentation, the WWE simulation experience is back with WWE '12," "At E3 2011, this is the definitive WWE videogame experience you do not want to miss."

One of the things that has been completely overhauled is the way the ring reacts and how moves are performed. For instance, if you attempt to do the Five-Knuckle Shuffle at the edge of the ring both wrestlers WILL NOT teleport to the middle of the ring in a pre-scripted way. This means that specific moves, finishers and signature abilities will simply have to be executed wherever the wrestlers are, and that will make for some very, very entertaining results, especially in tag-team matches.

What’s more, if a wrestler hits a special move like The People’s Elbow while an opponent is near the ropes they could easily get a rope break, which means that performing specials will require timing and a bit of strategy on the player’s part.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted on any news and media that comes out of E3 for WWE 12, which is set to release this fall for the aforementioned consoles. You can check out the official debut trailer for the game featuring Randy Orton, below.
