The Walking Dead: The Game will make its way to retail on Dec. 4, but if you want to nab yourself the ultra-cool Collector's Edition of the game, you're going to need to get your pre-order in ASAP with GameStop.

IGN is reporting that GameStop will have exclusive rights to an extremely limited edition version of the physical copy of The Walking Dead: The Game. Currently, four out of the five episodes are available digitally, costing $5 per episode or a discounted $20 for the full “season,” which is set to end sometime in November.

Being a physical copy and thus costing a bit more to make available, the version of the game coming out in stores on Dec. 4 will retail for $29.99 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. If you're feel like splurging and have missed out on the comics up until this point, however, then GameStop's pre-order-only Collector's Edition is likely the way to go. For $69.99, you'll get yourself a copy of the game, a spiffy box, and The Walking Dead Compendium One, which collects the first 48 issues of the ongoing comic. In case that 70 bucks is still giving you sticker shock, you should know that the compendium usually goes for $60 all by itself, so you're saving yourself about 20 bucks on the deal.

I've played through the four available chapters of Telltale's Walking Dead adventure game and, as far as engrossing stories goes, it's one of the best gaming experiences to hit the market in quite some time. If you're one of the gamers who still doesn't have your console jacked into the interwebs, then you're going to want to make this physical edition a part of your collection.

Look for The Walking Dead: The Game on store shelves starting on Dec. 4. And if you want to own your very own copy of the Collector's Edition, then you'll want to get your pre-order in at GameStop with a quickness.
