Bring A Change of Underwear: REC 2 Red Band Trailer

I wouldn't consider myself iron willed when it comes to horror movies, but it sure does take a lot to really get a good scare out of me. Enter REC in 2007. Spanish film makers Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza proceeded to scare the hell out of me for every moment of the short but powerful 78 minute film, and the film's final sequence had me screaming the way I hadn't since I was five and had a Child's Play nightmare. REC manages to be indescribably terrifying while taking zombie horror to a new level, and if that's not how you feel when the credits roll, part of your brain isn't functioning properly.

The pair of directors have been making the rounds with their follow up REC 2 which promises to be at least as scary as its big brother. Shot in the same style as the original, REC 2 follows a SWAT team into a quarantined building after a mysterious viral outbreak takes over its tenants. Myspace got their hands on this red band trailer and disregarding the on-screen text and silly voice over it's pretty solid. It's not the best trailer that's been released for the film, but it gets the job done.

There will be two more sequels, REC Apocalypse and REC Genesis to be directed by Balaguero and Plaza individually rather than continuing their previous tag team approach, but those are a way off. Until then, enjoy this trailer for part two of the saga, but beware: there's some spoilerific stuff towards the end of the trailer that might take away from one of the big surprises of the film.
