Charlie Sheen basically acts like he thinks that he is the ruler of the free world. For Machete Kills director Robert Rodriguez has made him just that.
Rodriguez himself revealed on Twitter today that the former Major League star has the joined the cast of the upcoming sequel and will be playing the President of the United States of America. Along with the announcement, Rodriguez took a photo of himself with the star. Check it out below.
A direct sequel to 2010's Machete, Machete Kills features the return of Danny Trejo as the titular character, who finds himself teaming up with the U.S. government. As a freelance agent Trejo is sent into Mexico where he has been assigned to take out a ruthless weapons dealer (Mel Gibson) who threatens to launch a weapon into space. Also on board are Michelle Rodriguez, who returns as Luz, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Jessica Alba and Demian Bichir. The film is currently in production.
After famously getting kicked off of Two and a Half Men, Sheen has largely stayed off the radar, but is now coming back with a vengeance. His new television series, Anger Management, will begin airing exactly one week from today and he recently wrapped production on Roman Coppola's A Glimpse Into The Life of Charlie Swan. In the film Sheen stars as Swan, a famous graphic designer who watches his world fall apart when his girlfriend leaves him. He is joined in the movie by Aubrey Plaza, Jason Schwartzman, Patricia Arquette, Bill Murray and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
