Chris Hemsworth has already had a great deal of success so far in 2012. For starters, the Australian actor finally got to share his performance as Curt the Jock in the long-delayed Cabin in the Woods, which is not only one of the best movies to come out so far this year, but one of the best horror films I have ever seen. A few weeks later, of course, he headed back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thor in Joss Whedon's The Avengers and helped turn that particular film into the summer's biggest hit. He followed that with Snow White And The Huntsman, which didn't do too bad either. And he's not done yet. After many years on the shelf (much like Cabin in the Woods), Red Dawn will finally be making its way to theaters and today brings us some brand new looks at the film.

USA Today has posted the brand new images, which are sadly pretty tiny, but you can still tell what's going on in them. The first has Jed Eckert (Hemsworth) preparing to fire a gun, while the second has Jed with Matt Eckert (Josh Peck) and Robert (Josh Hutcherson). Check them out below.

Red Dawn, a remake of the John Milius-directed, cold war-tinged thriller from 1984, follows a group of teenagers who are forced to join together as a small militia when their town is overtaken by North Korean soldiers. In addition to Hemsworth, Hutcherson and Peck, the film also stars Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas, Will Yun Lee and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It was one of the projects that ended up getting shelved when MGM went bankrupt, but now Open Road Films has come on-board to distribute the title in the United States. Look for it in theaters on November 21st and to read more about it head over to our Blend Film Database.
