Guillermo del Toro and the cast of Pacific Rim dazzled the crowd at Comic Con on Saturday, showing off footage from the upcoming sci-fi film that will be the movie's only marketing effort until Christmas. Yeah, if you weren't there, you totally missed it-- but that doesn't mean you've totally missed the boat! For the total breakdown of everything they showed off, check out Eric's description of the footage. And for some insight from the people who actually experienced, check out my interview with stars Ron Perlman and Charlie Day below.

Both of them seemed to be in for a surprise by signing on to the film-- Day had worked mostly in comedy thanks to his role on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and though Perlman has worked with del Toro for years, the scale of Pacific Rim was bigger than anything they'd done before. As Day told us when asked what to expect from the film, "Whatever you're thinking for big, think bigger." We also talked about the roles the two of them play, including how Day's scientist character winds up working alongside Perlman's gangster, and how up close and personal they get with the giant monsters humanity is fighting against.

Check out the video below, and come back later for a conversation with the man himself, Guillermo del Toro!
