Before he got his job hosting a talkshow everyone seems to have already forgotten about on TBS, Conan O’Brien was an unemployed vagabond wandering the country, scrabbling out a living from the loose change he managed to shake out of the pockets of the hundreds of thousands of people who showed up and paid to see him wherever he went. When he was fired from The Tonight Show Conan could have stayed home and propped up his feet, but he went on tour instead because, well, he just can’t stop performing.

The documentary Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop chronicles his journey across the country playing to sold out crowds and if the report Matt Patches turned in on the film from SXSW is in any indication, what was captured may be a lot darker than you expect from the man who invented the Pimpbot 5000.

You won’t see a lot of that darkness in this first trailer for the film. You will see a bearded, funny, and occasionally frustrated Conan. Check out the first trailer for Conan O’Brien can’t stop in HD on Apple or embedded below.

Look for Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop in theaters as part of a limited release on June 24. Check out the movie’s poster:
