By all rights, I should be out of my mind with excitement over the upcoming sequel to Jim Henson's performance art masterpice The Dark Crystal. Few love Muppets more than me. But the news we got a few months ago that CGI would be used in much of it has completely soured me on it, and not even this really cool artwork from the film can turn me around on it. It does however, help.
MTV is running an interview with the film's director Genndy Tartakovsky. If that name sounds familiar it's because he's the geek hero behind the absolute genius "Clone Wars" animated series and even more genius "Samurai Jack". He's now hard at work on The Dark Crystal 2, and along with their interview with him MTV has posted pics and storyboard art from the sequel currently titled The Power of the Dark Crystal.
