Subscribe To This Is The End Promo Arrives To Celebrate 4/20 Updates

Anyone who has ever seen a Seth Rogen film knows that he has a healthy appreciation of marijuana. Not only do his characters regularly smoke, the guy even wrote a movie - Pineapple Express - which is titled after a specific strain. So it should come as a surprise to exactly nobody that This is the End, the new film that Rogen co-directed with writing partner Evan Goldberg, not only features a good amount of pot smoking, but that it would even have a tie in to the "holiday" 4/20.

The promo seen above comes to us via the official Sony Pictures YouTube channel, and while you might think that it's been released one day early, presumably they're just trying to get the word out about the munchies promotion. Either that or somebody decided to just make a three-day weekend out of it.

In the film, which will be in theaters June 12th, Rogen and Jay Baruchel (playing themselves, like every other actor in the film) decide to attend a party at James Franco's palatial Los Angeles home when the unexpected occurs: the start of the biblical apocalypse. Stuck together with Franco, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, and Craig Robinson, the group tries to survive a world that has been taken over by demons, zombies and every other horrible thing you can imagine. For more about This Is The End be sure to check out Katey's set visit report and interviews, as well as my chat with the directors at WonderCon last month and coverage from CinemaCon this past week.
