First AVP2 Photo!

Our coverage of the first Alien Vs. Predator movie is near legendary, at least among the poor deluded souls who’d convinced themselves it was going to be the most bestest movie ever. We had the thing pegged as the big freakin disaster it was months in advance, and though it didn’t win us any friend among Alien and Predator fan sites, we were right. In your face.

I can only hope our coverage of the sequel, AVP 2 goes half as well. While we don’t have a scooper review ripping it as the world’s biggest turd yet, we do have the first ever production still from the film. Or at least that’s what it looks like.

The image comes courtesy of our friend O’Malley over at Alien Experience, who dug up the still below all this text up over at German website. This is allegedly an image officially released by the German branch of Fox’s marketing department. It’s pretty raw, which either means it’s a fake or just something taken early in the production. Odd if true, since officially released studio images are usually cleaned up long before they’re sent to the media, German or otherwise. But a guy claiming to be one of AVP2’s co-directors, Colin Strause has been busy posting on IMDB’s message boards, claiming it’s legit. So perhaps it is.

So take a look at the pic below. Our Alien friend seems more slobbery than ever.
