Steve Coogan in The Trip

A person walks up to you and asks if you want to go on a week long trip through the English countryside. Even better, you're required to stop at some of the most elegant restaurants in the country, and you don't have to pay a dime. What's the catch? You have to spend the entire time with somebody you don't particularly care for. Do you take the offer?

Apple has premiered the first trailer for Michael Winterbottom's The Trip, and in the film Steve Coogan is faced with that exact same dilemma when the magazine he writes for sends him on said voyage and the only person available to go is "best friend," Rob Brydon. The result is a series of trips to various eateries where the two men do nothing but squabble, bicker and try out their best impressions.
