Glimpse of Kong

When you’re big, people want to see you. When you’re really big, like... oh, a fifty foot gorilla, people really want to see you. At least that’s what NBC is hoping.

NBC has started advertising their upcoming debut of the trailer for Peter Jackson’s King Kong remake by offering a sneak peek at the trailer. Yup, that’s right - they’re offering up a preview of a preview. The commercial, which advertises the June 27th debut (during “Fear Factor”), includes two brief shots from the trailer - one in which Kong’s massive shape crashes down into the frame and a second showing Fay Wray... er Naomi Watts slowly turning around.

Although the draw of the world premiere for the trailer isn’t enough to get me to tune into “Fear Factor” (thus crushing NBC’s real hope for the trailer), I’m sure it’ll actually be aired towards the end of the show, allowing me to see the trailer without killing brain cells better reserved for death by alcohol. In fact Movie News even has a schedule that lists when the trailer can be seen on various channels, the internet, and even the Jumbotron screens in Times Square.
