Most of us counted down the minutes, seconds, and milliseconds until the release of the most recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. But there was one person who wasn’t really that interested in the footage, one who was more concerned with the NFL game that it interrupted. It just so happens that the person in question was Harrison Ford.

The legendary actor admitted that he wasn’t overly concerned with the debut of the second trailer for the seventh instalment to the franchise. However, he made sure to at least pay some attention to the trailer, even if it wasn’t completely undivided. Harrison Ford made this admission during his recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, explaining that his dinner preparation was interrupted by its unveiling:

I was trying to watch the damn football game … We were in the middle of preparing dinner and doing homework, and … Just watching it over our shoulder.

Watching it in this manner was quite the opposite to how his fellow Star Wars: The Force Awakens actors, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, reacted to the trailer. Then again, Ford has been through this a time or two. For his part, Boyega almost erupted with excitement and joy over after watching the clip. Something that if you haven’t seen you must immediately rectify, because it’s simply superb …

Meanwhile, Daisy Ridley’s reaction was a little bit more sombre and emotional. In fact, the 23-year-old actress was so overwhelmed by what she’d seen she couldn’t help but burst out into tears and declare that it was "amazing." It was hard to disagree.

Unlike Harrison Ford, pretty much every other fan’s reaction to the latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer was one of upmost giddiness, which immediately gave way to unbridled anticipation for the film. It really does promise to be something rather special.

In fact, who knows, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens does actually hit cinemas on December 18, 2015, Harrison Ford might even break out into a smile. I doubt it though.
