Icons Of Fright is a horror-fan website that recently attended a Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill, NJ. During that time they received news from Wes Craven about the future of the Scream franchise. You thought it was dead and buried, but you were wrong.
The fright-master himself said that while eating breakfast with Neve, she expressed interest in coming back for Scream 4. She even spoke to the wealthy Weinsteins about it. Wes claims he knew nothing about it beforehand, but I'm sure he can hear the 'cha-ching' from here.
Confession time: I genuinelly like the first Scream movie. And not in a "so bad it's good" way. I think it's an entertaining horror flick with a good mix of original scares and humor. That being said, the sequels were nothing short of excrusiating. I thought the second one couldn't be any worse... until I saw the third one. I shudder at the thought of what the 4th would have in store.
Let us all bind together and hope that the fourth installment never sees the light of day. Pretty please, with a cherry on top.
