Seen Crash?

It’s no secret most of us at Cinema Blend are huge fans of the movie Crash. It’s been highlighted not only in review, but mentioned several times in my weekly podcast, in the Weekly Box Office reports, and been the subject of deep discussions on our forums. Crash is the movie to beat this year, and it’s going to be a challenge for any upcoming drama to contend with it.

Lions Gate Films, the distributor of Crash, has now set up a website for people affected by the movie to post their “crash moments”. It’s a place where you can anonymously share experiences you might have had like those in the movie, where you have collided with other people, or how the film affected your life. As such a deeply moving film, I expect some of these stories will be tear-jerkers, although no doubt some idiots will try to add in “San Dimas High School football rules!” or some such crap.

Of course nothing is without its reward. Lions Gate will also use the site to give away some nice swag: soundtracks and eventually DVDs of the movie. No, this isn’t a case of whose story is better than someone else's, the point of Crash is that all of these stories are significant. Lions Gate will randomly select winners from people who post their stories.

Head over to Crashed to post your stories and read other people’s experiences.
