Weekend Box Office

Big Willie slam dunked the competition this week Knocking Spidey down a peg and Shrek off the countdown. Though dents were made this week, but in the long run they’re still in the lead. Courtesy of this weekend Spider-Man 2 has just entered the Top 20 all time big money makers, knocking out 1999's The Sixth Sense. Shrek 2 is at #5 right now and another $6+ Mill and it’ll make it’s way past The Phantom Menace to #4.

Will Ferrell’s #1 comedy in America commercials are gonna stop, as he got one upped by Hilary Duff. Which of course means we’ve entered the fifth ring of hell. But...next week is upon us. The week we’ve all been waiting for in that odd anticipation. The movie none of us want to see but can’t seem to stop talking about. Will it be successful? Will anyone see it? Will it suck they way we “know it will”? Will it suck the way we want it to? Will it suck period? Who knows? Screw Roger Ebert. Screw Richard Roeper. Screw Gene Shalitt, Leonard Maltin, and even our own Joshua Tyler (no offense buddy). Next week, I personally want to read the Michelle Pfeiffer review of Catwoman...Anyways here’s this week’s Top Ten.
