Weekend Box Office

America was wise. A few interested parties couldn’t help but go out to see Catwoman, probably in the same way drivers can’t help but slowdown on a highway to see bad accident. But Matt Damon reigned “supreme” this weekend. Bourne’s Supremecy pulled in about double his Indentity’s opening bow. Numbers like these show that this budding franchise is far from slowing down.

Spidey continues to climb on the all time list, making it’s way to number 14 this weekend. Michael Moore’s anti-Bush doc has officially past the century mark, and that green ogre is on a path into history. Shrek 2 is $1.5 Mill away from the number 4 all-time slot currently held by Star Wars - Episode I: The Phantom Menace, however it’s also about $9 mill away from E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. That’s huge. Can Shrek beat E.T.? Who knows, but if he does, don’t expect him to dethrown Episode IV. All in all this summer has been the most unpredictable yet. Here is This Week’s Top Ten...
