New Wreck-It Ralph Trailer Takes Us To Funkytown

The first trailer for Disney's Wreck-It Ralph got us into the retro-spirit by using Talking Heads' 1980s pop hit Once in a Lifetime. The latest theatrical trailer takes a similar approach by taking us to Funkytown and showing us even more of the world video game character Ralph is taking by storm in this animated adventure.

The music in the trailer below shifts from "Funkytown" to Fun.'s latest hit partway through, and also gives us a few new snippets from the movie, which follows a classic video game villain with the dream of being the hero. John C. Reilly voices Ralph, while Jack McBrayer, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch and Adam Carolla voice the supporting roles. You'll hear them in the trailer below.

"This holiday season comes a story for anyone who ever needed a RESTART on life."

The mix of video game humor (including goofy lines like "I bet you really gotta watch where you step in a game called Hero's Duty," which make my inner child giggle) and nods to older games, as well as new ones, along with the story of a character who's looking to break free from the role in which he's been cast has so much potential for a great story. I have high hopes that the film lives up to what we're seeing in these trailers.

Wreck-It Ralph arrives in theaters November 2. More information and photos can be found in our Blend Film Database.
