What We Think A Wrinkle In Time Is Preparing To Show Fans

Update: Unfortunately, the teased Twitter event wasn't quite as exciting as we'd hoped. Director Ava DuVernay went live with a 360-degree camera behind the scenes of the film. While we got to see her, along with A Wrinkle in Time stars Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, and Storm Reid, nobody was in costume yet, so we still don't know what the movie will actually look like. You can check out the recorded video below.

From Earlier: Of all the movies that Disney has on their slate in the coming years, one of the most anticipated may be A Wrinkle in Time. It's a novel that so many grew up with that they're all curious what the movie is going to look like. Now, it looks like we may be about to find out. The movie is teasing some sort of reveal to come very soon. We're guessing we may get our first look at some of the film's characters, specifically, one or more of the three Mrs.

Up to this point, the Twitter account for A Wrinkle in Time has limited itself to behind the scenes images of the crew, including director Ava DuVernay, working on the set. Now that it's teasing something bigger we're guessing we may be about to get our first look at the film's actual characters. Specifically, the inclusion of Mrs., rather than miss in the text is an obvious reference to the three characters being played by Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, and Mindy Kaling, named Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Who. There's a good chance we may be about to get a look at one or more of them in character.

At this moment the odds on favorite would be an image of Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Whatsit. The tweet ends with "Mrs. it" after all. In addition, based on what we've seen on Twitter, Mindy Kaling isn't currently on set, as she's filming Oceans Eight. We do know Reese Witherspoon is on set, so that could very well be her trailer we're looking at.

A Wrinkle in Time is one of those books that it seems nearly everybody read as a child since the 1960s. As such, it holds a nostalgic place in the heart of a lot of people. Creating a look for these characters that so many have pictured only in their heads for decades will be quite an undertaking. We're sure that once we see what they all look like, there will be some pretty strong opinions.

We'll be keeping our eyes on the Twitter account for A Wrinkle in Time in order to be sure that we bring you whatever it is they're about to show off. It's not clear how soon it will be coming, it could show up later today, or anytime in the next couple days.
