Watch A Marvel Fan Freak Out When Kevin Feige Invites Him To The Black Panther Premiere

At this point, it pretty much goes without saying that Marvel Cinematic Universe films are significant events. The release of an MCU blockbuster is something that we nerds mark down on our calendars, and many of us take the earliest possible opportunities to check them out. However, for one lucky attendee of Brazil Comic Con, it looks like the chance to check out Black Panther in theaters will come way sooner than expected, as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige used his willingness to participate at the event as an excuse to invite him to the film's premiere. Check out the video below to see the invitation for yourself.

Now that's about as cool as fanservice can get. As you can glean from the video, a fan named Hugo was the first to arrive and get in line for the Marvel panel at Brazil Comic Con, and it looks like the folks at Marvel Studios noticed. Clearly wanting to repay this fan for his devotion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige broadcast a video to the hall promising that Hugo could come to the Los Angeles premiere of Black Panther in February. Try to contain your jealousy, please.

As the video shows us, Hugo justifiably freaked out at the reveal. After all, wouldn't you if Kevin Feige personally offered you a chance to go to one of the biggest movies of 2018?

It probably won't come as a surprise to many of you to learn that being one of the first people to see Black Panther will likely give this lucky fan a leg up when the time comes to put all of the puzzle pieces together ahead of the release of Avengers: Infinity War. Beginning with the original Iron Man back in 2008, every Marvel film has either directly or indirectly related to the quest for the Infinity Stones and the eventual creation of the Infinity Gauntlet. Many fans had assumed that Thor: Ragnarok would provide us with the location of the Soul Stone, but new evidence from Black Panther's marketing campaign has suggested that it will be the film to flesh out that corner of the storyline -- thus making it far more important to see than it seemed as a standalone before.

Black Panther picks up where Captain America: Civil War left off by reintroducing us to T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) as he returns to his homeland of Wakanda in the wake of his father's death. Struggling with his newfound role as king, the film follows him as he learns to grow into his role, while also handling his responsibilities as Wakanda's black-clad protector: Black Panther.

Ryan Coogler's Black Panther will hit theaters next year on February 16, 2018. From there, the Wakandan hero will go on to join up with the rest of Earth's mightiest heroes when Avengers: Infinity War premieres on May 4, 2018 If you're looking to get yourself up-to-speed on both of these films, check out our handy Black Panther guide, as well as our Infinity War guide.
