Justin Theroux has kept a low profile since the actor ended his relationship with Jennifer Aniston. But The Leftovers star broke his silence and returned to Instagram yesterday for a worthwhile cause. He has returned to social media in order to recognize and celebrate the charitable people at Austin Pets Alive.
Even though Justin Theroux is going through a very public separation at the moment with his former partner Jennifer Aniston, this Instagram post shows that he thankfully hasn't lost his sense of humor, nor is his heart too broken to spread the love to others -- especially cats and puppers in need. The actor might be on the emotional mend right now, but he knows Austin Pets Alive is an organization in need, and he wants to get the word out. Theroux also took a moment to bring up Houston Pets Alive, and he evens cheekily tags Selena Gomez into the animal mix, knowing that she is "chill like that."
This newest Instagram post is the first time Justin Theroux has updated his Instagram in weeks, notably after he released a joint statement with Jennifer Aniston announcing their separation. The couple reportedly went their separate ways towards the end of 2017, but the relationship update didn't go public until this month. They told the public to avoid any gossip that would spill out otherwise, believing it was best to be up front. It has been deemed a mutual separation between the two, and it has been rumored that the couple hasn't lived in the same house -- nor the same side of the country, even -- for several months now. The rumor mill was spinning faster yesterday when Theroux's neighbor made some choice comments on the topic.
Away from helping animal organizations in need and his love life woes, Justin Theroux can be seen in Netflix's Mute, which hit the streaming site over the weekend. He also recently filmed roles in On the Basis of Sex, a biographic drama with Armie Hammer and Felicity Jones, and The Spy Who Dumped Me, an action comedy with Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon, and Gillian Anderson. He is also signed on to appear in Maniac, a promising new Netflix original series set to star Emma Stone and Jonah Hill and directed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective season 1). While word on the project is slim, a separate post from the actor suggests that it might already be done with filming, or that -- at the very least -- he's finished shooting his part.
Despite his heartache, Justin Theroux seems to have found a good way to fill in the gap in his chest. Hopefully that means plenty of more adorable puppy photos in the weeks to come. We'll keep you updated either way.
