Canadian Bride Dies After Tumbling Into Waterfall While Wearing Wedding Dress

A Canadian bride perished today while taking photos in her wedding dress. The woman was posing for pictures near a rampant waterfall in Rawdon, Quebec and simply slipped, propelling her body over the edge of a cliff and into some tough waters. The dangerous rapids intermixed with large boulders kept the rest of the party from going into the water after the woman, instead forcing them to wait for a rescue crew to arrive.

They found her body nearly four hours later. Police are saying the currently unidentified woman simply slipped on a rock and the accident could have happened to anyone near the waterfall, which boasts rapids, as well as a 60 ft. drop. Police Sgt. Ronald McInnis spoke to USA Today to discuss the violent waters, noting most people who go in do not make it back out.

"The people who fall at that spot usually perish. It doesn't give you a chance.”

Most brides have a lot to be worried about during the days leading up to a wedding. However, most of those worries pale in comparison to the sadness and regret the family of the bride-to-be must be feeling after the accident. Pop Blend would like to extend our deepest sympathies to everyone connected with the tragedy and to send our best wishes to all the brides-to-be preparing for their wedding day. May they be safe, happy, and lead to some beautiful ceremonies.
