Following Charlie Sheen’s termination from Two And A Half Men, the actor went on a rampage bashing Chuck Lorre, Warner Brothers and CBS. For a few months, the explosive situation dominated headlines and seemingly grew worse by the day. Then, out of nowhere, Sheen decided to suddenly become the bigger man. He offered advice to his replacement Ashton Kutcher and even said a few nice things about Lorre in the press. In return, the show’s creator praised his former employee for his ability to knock scenes out in one take and spoke of how much he achieved with the Charlie Harper character. In theory, these good vibes should have extended on forever. Unfortunately, Sheen was hit with a cease and desist letter this week over something rather petty, and now the relationship has once again turned sour.
According to E! News, Sheen was in Miami earlier this month to drum up interest for his forthcoming show Anger Management. As such, he handed out some promotional packets to industry sources. Warner Brothers apparently got a hold of one of those packets and noticed a photograph of Sheen that was taken while he was in character on Two And A Half Men. In response, the company sent the actor a cease and desist letter, demanding he remove the photo from all future publicity materials.
Never one to take a situation lightly, Sheen lashed out in a statement to TMZ. Here’s what he had to say about not being able to use the picture any longer…
"I"m thrilled. It insulates me from having to redundantly see myself in the idiotic bowling shirt. Perhaps if Warner Bros. spent as much time and energy focusing on THEIR show, it wouldn't be such a steaming pile of ass."
Sophomoric, needlessly aggressive and perhaps even pointless, Sheen’s statement didn’t need to be made, but I have to admit, I think it’s kind of funny. That’s probably due to the fact that I agree that Two And A Half Men is a steaming pile of ass.
