The continual rehash of Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders has been wince-worthy from the public’s end, but, understandably, it has been far worse for the parties involved. In the two weeks following the news of the liaison between the actor and the director, Robert Pattinson supposedly left his Twilight compatriot. Bella may still have Jacob to lean on but there is no such luck for Sanders’ wife, Liberty Ross, who has made no effort to spend time with her husband of seven years since the news broke.
Prior to the cheating scandal, Sanders and Ross had an enviable life, including a lengthy seven-year marriage, two beautiful children, and plenty of photos taken at red carpet events. In the weeks after the cheating scandal, the couple still have their beautiful children and Ross has not taken off her wedding ring, but according to People, she has also been spending most of her time devoting herself to her children and not to the husband that hurt her deeply.
It’s understandable that Ross would need at least some time to cool off after finding out about Sanders’ huge betrayal in such a public manner. The couples’ relationship may not have been a bed of roses all the way through, but when secrets go public, someone is bound to be left, deeply hurt, in the wake. I have no doubt that considerations over the couples’ children will take precedence in any talks Ross has with Sanders in the future. If Ross does choose to stop giving the silent treatment to her husband, there will still be one powerful monster lingering under the bed.
