Watch Tom Hanks Perform Slam Poetry About Full House

Like a great advertising executive or a brilliant point guard, Tom Hanks is better at knowing what we want than we are. Over the past two decades, he has, with few exceptions, continually stayed one step ahead of the pace, surprising us with trailer after trailer and film after film that hit the perfect spot. His powers of prediction are unmatched. His foresight is clearer than your normal sight, and naturally, he has done it again.

You might not realize you’re in the mood for slam poetry about the ABC classic Full House, but Tuesday evening on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Hanks decided we’re all ready to hear about the gender dynamics in play after the credits role each morning on Wake Up, San Francisco. Spoiler alert: we are. Check out the hilarious, reference heavy footage below…

This is actually the third high profile appearance for Hanks in recent days. To promote his upcoming project, Cloud Atlas, he stopped by Good Morning America and mistakenly and hilariously dropped the f-bomb. Then, he made a surprise appearance during Saturday Night Live’s second debate and asked easily the best town hall question, and now, we can add this slam poetry greatness on top of the pile.

It’s been a great few weeks for Hanks, but then again, every week is great for America’s most beloved actor.
